Guess My 3 Digit Number!!!

Hi kids!  The first person to solve and post the answer to the mystery number riddle below gets to have lunch in the room with a friend!  Think about those math vocabulary words!  Finding the difference means to SUBTRACT, the sum means to ADD, and the product means to MULTIPLY.  I know we haven't talked about multiplication so you'll probably need to use a multiplication table to help you with that clue.  The answer can only be a 3 DIGIT NUMBER!!  GOOD LUCK!!

Fiddler crabs live at the coast of Georgia.  Male fiddler crabs have one big claw and one small claw.  The big one is used to wave in the air during mating season to attract female crabs.

Math Homework

Homework this week will look a little different.  You will still need to practice your timed facts but will also have homework related to our unit of study (Numbers and Operations).  The homework will be 2-sided.  You have an option as to which side you complete.  One side (labeled Enrichment) offers you the opportunity to attempt problems that are more challenging.  You are not REQUIRED to complete both sides but are more than welcome to do so!  Feel free to post any questions or comments related to our homework!

Georgia Habitats

Last week, we launched our study on the habitats of Georgia.  We'll be learning about the mountains, Piedmont, swamps/marshes, coast, and Atlantic.  Throughout our study, we'll explore the plants and animals found in each habitat and the adaptations necessary for survival.  By Friday, everyone should post one interesting fact that you've learned in class, or discovered independently, about one of the Georgia habitats.  Every student should also comment on at least one of your classmates' posts.
