Last week, we launched our study on the habitats of Georgia. We'll be learning about the mountains, Piedmont, swamps/marshes, coast, and Atlantic. Throughout our study, we'll explore the plants and animals found in each habitat and the adaptations necessary for survival. By Friday, everyone should post one interesting fact that you've learned in class, or discovered independently, about one of the Georgia habitats. Every student should also comment on at least one of your classmates' posts.

ReplyDeleteDo you mean black bears?
DeleteMost black bears live in forests because they like to eat plants, especially berries and roots. They have to eat enough so they can go into hibernation in the winter.

In the coastal habitat there are sand dunes caused by the wind and waves.
ReplyDeleteAlot of animals use to live in the coastal habitat. Now people go to the beach and the animals lost their homes.
DeleteJonah,
DeleteSand dunes play a very important role in the coastal habitat. They protect the plants' and animals' habitats from the salty water coming from the ocean and help prevent erosion. Do you know what erosion means?
